Briarwood was created at a fontmaking workshop in the Graphic Design Department of Minnesota State University Moorhead. Workshop participants crafted a 3D-formed letter created out of paper with scissors, glue and tape. The resulting constructs were then photographed, outlined and turned into font format. The font is presented here in “duotone” format, with two versions of the same alphabet in uppercase and lowercase positions; the uppercase are solid outlines of the shapes, the lowercase are shadows within them.
